Aprilia RSV4 X-GP

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the RS-GP's participation in MotoGP, a limited-edition motorcycle was created.

The Catalan Grand Prix marked the debut of the RSV4 X-GP. To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the RS-GP's debut in the top motorcycle racing class, Aprilia Racing's state-of-the-art MotoGP experience led to the creation of this limited edition, which is only 30 pieces strong.

Aprilia Racing's RSV4 X-GP further solidifies its exclusive X brand: special versions denoted by the "X" (a reference to the Roman numeral for 10) that offer the best performance and technological standards currently found on a production-based motorbike.

AERODYNAMICS

The RS-GP25 served as the direct inspiration for the aerodynamic marvel that is the RSV4 X-GP. It has leg wings and tail wings, which were created and patented solely by Aprilia Racing and were originally seen on the RS-GP25 a few months ago, for the first time ever on a production-based motorcycle. These developments significantly increase downforce during cornering and braking.

A distinctively designed front wing, an underwing, and cornering wings complete the aero package.

With its Aprilia Racing-patented ground-effect aerodynamics, the RSV4 X-GP has side fairings that lower air pressure between the bike and the tarmac when the bike is leaned over, creating downforce that forces the bike down hard.

STRUCTURE

The structural carbon-fibre seat support, which was also made by PAN Compositi, is another element that was directly lifted from MotoGP prototypes. It combines design, aerodynamics, and structure into one component.

The sandwich carbon layup, a unique layering method intended to optimise lightness while maintaining rigidity, is an additional development. The rider has a closer relationship with the bike's behaviour as a result of the increased rear-tyre input.

EXCLUSIVE FEATURES

The kit is further enhanced with a **special livery inspired by the RS-GP25, which pays homage to Aprilia Racing's most recent MotoGP development, and a twin-outlet SC Project exhaust in full MotoGP style, which is intended to maximise performance and deliver a true racing sound.

THE ENGINE

A true MotoGP-style racing machine is the RSV4 X-GP. The engineers at Aprilia Racing have adjusted their renowned 65° V4 engine, which is 1,099 cc and has SBK racing specifications. It can generate an incredible 238 horsepower at 13,750 rpm (with a maximum speed of 14,100 rpm) and 131 Nm of torque at 11,750 rpm. These numbers are the result of specific tuning, which includes an STM dry clutch, a titanium SC Project exhaust system with twin pipes and compensator, a higher compression ratio, a Sprint Filter high-permeability racing air filter, and specially designed intake trumpets.

ELECTRONICS

The Aprilia Racing-developed APX ECU, the most recent iteration of the same unit that propelled RSV4 to WorldSBK championships with Max Biaggi, controls all active electronic systems.

With completely adjustable parameters to fit riding style and track circumstances, this ECU employs racing-level techniques that are the same as those used in competition. Complete **data collecting for performance analysis is another aspect.
Gear by gear, the APX system controls power delivery, engine braking, traction control, and wheelie control. There's also a built-in GPS module. A dedicated Yashi laptop with the software for ECU control and fine-tuning already installed is included with every RSV4 X-GP.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Carbon-fibre mudguards, Jetprime racing switchgear, Spider adjustable rearsets, clutch lever, fuel cap, engine case, and brake lever guards are just a few of the components of the RSV4 X-GP that are machined from billet aluminium and carry Aprilia Racing's racing DNA. Each steering plate has a unique number and is CNC-machined.

Large WSBK-derived radiators are used for optimal cooling, and the end drive has an RK 520 racing chain, a titanium sprocket, and a lightweight PBR front sprocket.

CHASSIS

A specialised combination of Öhlins mechanical suspension enhances the renowned aluminium dual-beam frame, a trademark of Aprilia's chassis prowess. A Brembo brake system, consisting of a radial 19x16 master cylinder, monobloc GP4 MS callipers, Z04 racing pads, and 330 mm T Drive discs, is coupled with a pressurised Öhlins suspension up front. There is a nickel-plated calliper at the back that handles braking.

The RSV4 X-GP is equipped with Pirelli Superbike slicks (SC-1 front 125/70, SC-X rear 200/65), which are identical to those used in the WorldSBK, and rides on forged magnesium Marchesini wheels.
